2. Educational Activities that promote positive mental health awareness and skills through the following activities:
a. Production of a live radio show broadcast on WBAI 99.5FM Public Radio that informs the general public about mental health issues and healing modalities and forms of support.
b. Monthly “SAFE CONVERSATIONS” Introductory workshops and quarterly “Train the SAFE CONVERSATIONS Leaders” workshops will form the core of the community outreach and impact initiatives. These will be followed up with monthly webinars to support skills learning and accountability. We will be creating educational tools, materials, and instructional videos to continue to support the implementation of this skill set.
3. Aligning with governmental agencies and public policy statements that promote good mental health practices that include but are not limited to:
a. Need for a yearly Mental Health Check-Up coinciding with the yearly physical check-up to promote proactive mental health care and stability of the greater population.
b. Conduct evidence based research on the benefits of annual / bi-annual mental health check-ups and other mental health support activities.
